Summary

This Picos 2017 tour begins with a combination of 5 walking routes through the most spectacular & emblematic places of the Picos mountains where you will enjoy the different landscapes that comprise the three Massifs of the Picos National Park.  The walks vary from 13km – 15km of exciting hill walking.  Each walk finishes in a local village deep in the valleys,  where you will meet the local people, interact with them, enjoy their culture, customs & cuisine in these picturesque places.  

There is another very special part to this walking tour that will add to your overall experience.  We take you to historic Santander, an elegant city which extends over a wide bay into the Cantabrian Sea, nestelled under the backdrop of the Picos de Europa. It’s historic quarter includes majestic buildings which are situated against an incredible natural backdrop of sea and mountains. Its marine & commercial tradition is linked to centuries of tourism.  Among the main attractions are the famous El Sardinero beach, the promenade, Casino & La Magdalena península.   

This región is less spoiled by the mass market tourism of the Med coast, less well known to international tourists & yet offering the diversity & authenticity at the “real heart & soul” of Spain.  Comprising the regions of Asturias, Castille y Leon & Galicia, these are among the jewels of this amazingly diverse country. The landscapes & seascapes are amazing.  History comes alive there as you walk among the historic & cultural traces of Neolithic man, Romans, Phoenicians, Celts & taste the fruits of their labours of their delicous food, wine & artistic culture.  

This tour offers you superb hill walking combined with a real immersion in the culture & history of the región.  As you leave Santander for your flight home we hope that you will be filled with the joys of life at your experience here & a deep desire to come back again.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT

1. The deadline for payment for the tour is 15 days before the notified start date and registration will be formally completed when the participant has paid in full the price of the tour by either Bank Transfer to the account of GUHEKO SL or by payment by Credit Card verified by PayPal. 
2. The tour company Guheko reserves the right to cancel the tour if there is an insufficient number of participants, up to 15 days prior to the advertised start date.  In the event of such cancellation particpants shall be refunded 100% of the payments they have made to Guheko SL.  The refund shall be made by Bank Transfer.
3. If you cancel your booking up to 15 days prior to the notified start date of the tour due to Force Majure include sickness, hospitalization or death of a member of your immediate family, the tour Company Guheko SL will retain 20% of the tour price to pay for the expense of cancellation.   Under this condition if you cancel your booking for any circumstances, other than those set out here, there will be no refund.
4. The tour company Guheko reserves the right to modify the tour program & the itinerary in the event of circumstances outside of their control such as Force Majure, severe or unsuitable weather or any other circumstances they consider necessary to ensure the safety of the tour participants. 
5. In the event that a participant decides to abandon the tour for whatever reason, he/she should inform the Guide in writing of their decision.  Any related expenses shall be paid by the participant.
